Shaw Road Extension

Posted by Lisa Corelli 1 Comment »

For those of us that live in the Puyallup area, (most commonly known as South Hill)
you are familiar with the annoying traffic issues.   Mostly it’s all the road construction
that slows everyone down.  If you live in the area you might be like me, searching for short cuts that bypass the road construction and traffic congestion.
My favorite short cut is bypassing Meridian and going down Shaw Road.
Finally, something I had been complaining about for a long time which is why in the world
doesn’t Shaw Road connect to East Main?  It seemed like such a simply solution to punch Shaw Road through instead of having to go Pioneer to 15th to E. Main to get to the Freeway.
Soon you will be able to go straight down Shaw Road and to connect directly to East Main.
Viola! Easy access to the freeway!
Well, I am here to tell you the great news which is its going to happen!!! Finally!
Currently it’s in the works and construction has begun.  For more information on the project you can go to the City of Puyallup and click on Shaw Road Extension Project.

This photos was taken from East Main.
