Fresh Fruit hits the spot

Posted by Lisa Corelli

Hello friends, I know it’s been a while since I’ve written, work and life got a bit busy but I have had opportunities to take some good pictures and will be looking forward to sharing with you what I have been seeing and doing this summer besides work! :)
Every summer I look forward to all the fresh fruit and veggies.  One of my huge pet peeves is when I get home from the grocery store and cut into my Watermelon to find it mushy and tasteless! or my grapes have thick skin and are sour-yuk!
For the past 5 years my Dad who live in downtown Puyallup where the soil is superb for
Gardening started planting his own tomato plants.  It wasn’t unit I ate one of his
Fresh Cherry Tomatoes that I realized that you just can’t go wrong with either growing your own Garden or know someone who does because the taste of those cherry tomatoes was like eating A tasty treat! Who would’ve thought a tomato could taste that good.   I had heard about the place in downtown Puyallup on East Main called “Spooners Farms” that opens for the summer with fresh Strawberries, now they have blackberries and fresh corn.  I did stop this summer and let me tell you…Best Strawberries ever!

If you are in the area and get a chance to stop, you won’t be disappointed.
